“Was uns am Herzen liegt e. V.” is a non-profit association of musicians and event organisers from the greater Stuttgart area. Our goal: to organise high-calibre charity concerts and donate the entire proceeds to HOPPS – the home-based oncological paediatric care service at Olgahospital Stuttgart, which cares for seriously ill children and young people in their own homes.
My Role
I am a co-founder, chairman of the board, and pianist of the association – since its founding in January 2017. I help shape the musical programme of the concerts, coordinate the participating artists, and am responsible for running the association.
HOPPS
HOPPS is a nationally unique pilot project for mobile home care for children and young people with cancer, as well as for children receiving palliative care. The project was initiated by Prof. Stefan Bielack at Olgahospital Stuttgart.
Concerts & Milestones
Since 2017, we have regularly staged concerts at the Friedenskirche in Ludwigsburg – featuring professional singers, a live band, and a choir. In November 2025, we introduced a new, intimate concert format with WUAHL pianissimo at the Marmorsaal in Stuttgart – sold out twice, standing ovations.
In December 2025, we surpassed the milestone of €100,000 in total donations to HOPPS.
