What is heyprof?
heyprof turns every instructor into a scalable AI mentor – for higher education, schools, adult education and corporate training, across all subjects and all levels. At its heart: VisuApps and CogniApps, interactive visualisations with and without AI, plus an AI tutor that understands the instructor’s teaching style and supports learners individually.
heyprof is a research and development project I run together with Prof. Dr. Volker Reichenberger. The platform takes a holistic view of teaching and learning: materials, interactive chat, assignments with handwriting recognition, lecture recordings with transcription and visible learning progress all work together on a single platform.

The AI Tutor
The AI tutor knows the instructor’s teaching style and adapts to each learner. It explains everything – patiently, with humour, for five-year-olds or for nerds. Instead of handing out ready-made solutions, it guides students through assignments in Socratic dialogue: it knows the assignment text, the model solution, the instructor’s private notes and the relevant passages from the course script – and asks exactly the question that moves the student one step forward.
